Is BingX safe: 2024 hack, ShieldX, 2FA and what to keep on exchange

September 2024: an attack on BingX’s hot wallet. Public damage estimates grew as chains were counted. Withdrawals paused. The venue said it would cover users from its own capital. Later — ShieldX, monitoring, audit.

This is not “safe to forget”. A CEX is not a bank with a Russian licence. Keep on the exchange what you are trading. The rest — a wallet, keys not in cloud photos.

App 2FA, not SMS. An anti-phishing code. Phishing mirrors catch people better than “movie hackers”.
